Dear Felton Library Friend — Thanks to all who have requested yard signs signaling your support of Measure R. We are happy to deliver them — just email back to this address. We hope to see some of you tomorrow at our monthly meeting, where we will discuss FLF’s part in making sure the measure passes as well as other topics. And then on Wednesday is our wonderful annual poetry reading. Please consider coming — we can guarantee that you will enjoy it.
FLF invites you to celebrate the value of friendship as winners of the Fourth Annual San Lorenzo Valley Poetry Contest, read their poems on the theme of “friends” on Wednesday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m., at the Felton Community Hall. Contest judge Barbara Bloom will read from her work, and “favorite poems” will be be read by San Lorenzo Valley residents Keith Johnson (Rector of St. Andrews Episcopal Church), Tove Beatty (Executive Director of Mountain Community Resources), Clare Campbell (owner of the Outback in Felton), Rob Martin (Captain in the Felton Volunteer Fire Dept.), and Linda Swarbrick (Felton library staff member). The reading, described by a previous attendee as “a wonderful, heartwarming event,” is free to the public and will include refreshments.
