—FLF in the News

The Santa Cruz Sentinel, Press Banner, and Valley Post all carried articles on the decision of the Joint Powers Board to make Felton its highest priority capital project. The article in the March 11 issue of the Valley Post, on their web site at, presents a thorough discussion of the Felton issue going back to 1986.

—Measure R

FLF will work to insure passage of Measure R on the June ballot. This measure will make permanent the quarter-cent sales tax that County residents have paid since 1996 and that provides more than 50% of the library’s operating costs. For Felton, passage of the measure will provide the bedrock of support for the Library system that would allow the Joint Powers Board to make long-range plans for the funding of capital projects. We invite you to join us at our March 25 meeting (4:00 p.m., Felton Firehouse) and participate in our campaign efforts.
