Nancy Gerdt (Co-chair)

Nancy has lived in Felton since 1982. She has been a business owner, teacher, and community activist. Beginning with the issue of locally owned water in Felton in 2003, she then  became interested in libraries and in their power to transform lives. In 2005 she became one of the founding members of Felton Library Friends. She served for eight years on the Santa Cruz Library Joint Powers Board from 2006 to 2013 advocating for a better facility in the SLV. In 2016 she along with many other community members successfully worked on the county wide library Measure S campaign. She is currently working with other community members on various projects that will enhance the new Felton branch and serves on the new county-wide Library Advisory Commission.   Contact:

Jim Mosher (Co-chair)

Jim was a member of the pioneer class at UCSC, graduating in 1969.  He has lived in San Lorenzo Valley since 1978, moving to Felton in 1998.  He is an attorney and community organizer, focusing professionally on the prevention of alcohol and other drug problems.  He was a leader in Friend of Locally Owned Water (FLOW), the successful campaign to gain public control of Felton’s water district.  Jim has a long standing commitment to libraries, serving on the Santa Cruz County Joint Powers Board from 2013 to 2015 and working on the Measure S campaign. Michele Mosher (Treasurer)

Michele has lived in the San Lorenzo Valley since 1974. She sees  libraries as an essential part of community building.  She has been involved in Early Childhood Education in Santa Cruz County since ‘72, and has served on the boards of the Felton Farmers Market and the Valley Women’s Club.  She was  co-chair of the Events and  Campaign Committees for FLOW,  and has been involved in Felton Library Friends since its inception in 2005.
