Fourth Annual SLV Poetry Reading Wednesday the 23rd.
FLF invites you to celebrate the value of friendship as winners of the Fourth Annual San Lorenzo Valley Poetry Contest, read their poems on the theme of "friends" on Wednesday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m., at the Felton Community Hall. Contest judge Barbara Bloom will read from her work, and "favorite poems" will be be read by San Lorenzo Valley residents Keith Johnson (Rector of St. Andrews Episcopal Church), Tove Beatty (Executive Director of Mountain Community Resources), Clare Campbell (owner of the Outback in Felton), Rob Martin (Captain in the Felton Volunteer Fire Dept.), and Linda Swarbrick (Felton library staff member). The reading, described by a previous attendee as "a wonderful, heartwarming event," is free to the public and will include refreshments.

Felton Library Friends supports Measure R (June ballot) to ensure continued funding of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries and to allow long-term planning of capital projects, of which the Felton replacement branch has been designated highest priority.
