New Leaf Community Day

Save your New Leaf Shopping for Thursday, August 30. New Leaf will
contribute 5 percent of the day's net profit to Felton Library
Friends! Tell your friends and neighbors. It's an easy way to lend
support for our new Felton library.

FLF members will be on hand to answer questions about the Felton
Library as well as to publicize their Ice Cream Social, to be held on
September 15 at the site of the future Felton branch, with
refreshments, entertainment, and activities. Tickets for a drawing
will be sold and signups will be taken for a "cakewalk" to be held at
the event .

New Leaf's donation will support FLF in a variety of projects to
publicize the need for a new Felton branch library and to assist the
Santa Cruz Public Library administration and board in reaching that

Ice-Cream Social

Dear Felton Library Friends,

Mark your calendars now! On Saturday, September 15, Felton Library Friends will host an Ice Cream Social from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the site designated for the new Felton Library.

Plan to bring your family and friends for a wonderful introduction to this special land next to the Post Office The event will have something for everyone: Marianne's ice cream, food, children's activities, a cakewalk, raffle, and great entertainment on stage..

Volunteer (adults and teens) to help at the event for two hours or less—this should be fun. You can also volunteer to bake a cake (or two dozen cookies or brownies for the cakewalk. The more cakes the more winners--and the more funds for FLF!

To volunteer, just reply to this e-mail and a committee member will call you back with details towards the end of August.

Together, we can realize the dream of a new Felton Branch library that will serve the San Lorenzo Valley and Bonny Doon.
